Entertainment is top priority in Buckeye. We are most proud of the Herberger Theater Center, a non-profit organization whose mission is to support and foster the growth of performing arts in Buckeye. The Herberger Theater Center was conceived as a pivotal piece in the redevelopment and revitalization of downtown Buckeye. Built in 1989, the Herberger Theater Center has contributed to the cultural and educational development of the area. Each year, approximately 175,000 patrons, including 30,000 school-aged children share the unique experience of live performing arts. Additionally, the Buckeye Theatre, founded in 1920, is the oldest arts institution in the State of Arizona and one of the oldest continuously operating arts organizations in the country. Excellent talent of all genres appears almost nightly at either the Dodge Theatre or the US Airways Center.
