Living in Paradise Valley

Despite the town’s relatively small size and population (under 15,000), Paradise Valley is home to 12 resorts and either is or has been the home of many notables: Barry Goldwater, Erma Bombeck, Jesse Owens, Hugh Downs, Bill Keane, Stevie Nicks, Sandra Day O’Connor, Randy Johnson, Jeff Hornacek, just to name a few.  Here is just a small but enticing sampling of our resorts.

Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain enjoys a legacy filled with Hollywood celebrities and international tennis stars. The story begins in the early 1950s when a group of prominent investors including Hollywood stars John Ireland, Joanne Dru and Sydney Chaplin, Charlie Chaplin’s son, bought the unique mountainside property. Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain is a luxury boutique hideaway with dramatic mountain and spa casitas offering spectacular views of Paradise Valley. Sanctuary Spa, an intimate retreat, offers Asian-inspired treatments along with a relaxing meditation garden, movement studio and fitness center. Elements Restaurant features farm-fresh cuisine with Asian accents while Jade Bar is known for its extensive wine list.

Camelback Inn, a landmark resort set on 125 acres of lush desert landscape, gives guests an authentic Southwestern experience. Nestled at the base of Mummy Mountain and overlooking the famous Camelback Mountain, this is a place where luxury comes naturally.

Nestled at the foot of picturesque Camelback Mountain, the InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa is located in the heart Paradise Valley. Inspired by the Andalusia region of Southern Spain, Montelucia reflects its European influences from the décor to fine dining experiences. Montelucia’s coveted location provides guests convenient access to high-end shopping districts, fine dining, recreation, and entertainment venues.

Enjoying the additional amenities of Buckeye and Avondale is a breeze. Both are within easy driving distance with Avondale being the closest metro neighbor.
